KALA HEALTH SG'S PRIVACY POLICY This is Kala Health SG's Privacy Policy and the purpose of this document is to inform you of how Kala Health SG manages, collects, uses and discloses your Personal Data, which is subject to the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012) (“the PDPA”). Our Privacy Policy supplements, but does not supersede nor replace any other consent you may have previously provided to Kala Health SG in respect of your Personal Data. In addition, Kala Health SG reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice. We advise that you check this Privacy Policy on a regular basis. Subject to your rights at law, you agree and consent to be bound by the prevailing terms of this Privacy Policy as updated from time to time on our website www.kalahealth.sg.

1. Introduction to the PDPA

  • Personal Data as defined in the PDPA is defined to mean data, whether true or false, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which an organization has or is likely to access to.
  • Kala Health SG will only collect your personal data directly from you, in accordance with the PDPA. We shall take every effort to notify you of the purposes for which your personal data may be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed, as well as obtain your consent or deemed consent for the collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of your personal data for the intended purposes, save for where it is mandatory or authorized under the applicable laws and regulations to do so without consent.

2. Collection Of Your Personal Data

  • Personal data collected from you may include your first and last names, telephone numbers, physical and email addresses, donation information, etc, which enable us to fulfil your order for products/services and for any other purposes as specified in the section below. You have the right to choose not to provide the requested information, but it is possible that we may not be able to fulfil your order for products/services and certain functions provided for in our website portal(s) may not be available.

  • If you have provided your Singapore telephone numbers, Kala Health SG may contact you using such Singapore telephone numbers (including via voice calls, sms, fax or other means) with information about our products or those product and services offered by our preferred partners (including discounts, flash sales and special offers) in accordance with the PDPA’s Do Not Call (“DNC”) provisions.

4. Request to withdraw consent

  • When you shop on Kala Health SG's website, we may send you promotional/marketing material via mail along with your order package. Should you wish to withdraw your consent for us to send you sales, marketing or promotional information via a specific mode, please email kalahealthsg@gmail.com
  • Please be aware that once we receive confirmation that you wish to withdraw your consent for marketing or promotional materials/communication, it may take up to thirty (30) days for your withdrawal to be reflected in our systems. Therefore, you may still receive marketing or promotional materials/communication during this period of time. Please note that even if you withdraw your consent for the receipt of marketing or promotional materials through a specific mode, we may still contact you for other purposes in relation to the Products and Services that you hold or have subscribed to with Kala Health SG.
  • Please be informed that your withdrawal of consent is still subject to Section 25 of the PDPA where personal data can be retained for legal or business purposes.

5. Retention of Personal Data

  • We will cease to retain your personal data or remove the means by which the personal data can be associated with you as soon as it is reasonable to assume that the personal data is no longer necessary for any business or legal purposes.
  • We endeavour to adopt reasonable measures to dispose of the personal data within a reasonable time after it is no longer necessary. For instance, paper documents containing Personal Data are securely destroyed, and electronic files storing Personal Data are permanently deleted.

6. Data Security

  • We employ commercially reasonable data security measures, which includes physical, technical and administrative safeguards, in order to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of your personal data and to prevent unauthorised access, use, collection, copying, disclosure and modification of your personal data. Examples of some of these safeguards are firewalls and data encryption, and information access authorization controls.
  • However, despite our security precautions, we caution that no data conveyed via the Internet can be guaranteed to be fully secure during transmission because of the inherent risks of data transmission over the Internet.
